Azerbaijan, Estonia hold second consular consultations

The foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Estonia have held their second consular consultations.

According to Report, citing Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry, the Azerbaijani delegation was headed by Emil Safarov, head of the ministry's Consular Department, while the Estonian delegation was led by Margus Sarglepp, director general of the Consular Department of the Estonian Foreign Ministry.

Representatives of Azerbaijan's Interior Ministry, Ministry of Science and Education, and State Migration Service also took part in the discussions.

The consultations reviewed the current state and prospects for developing consular cooperation between Azerbaijan and Estonia, including opportunities to sign new bilateral documents in this field.

The sides emphasized the importance of close cooperation in providing consular support to citizens of both countries and exchanged views on existing experience and advanced mechanisms for the digitalization of consular services.

They also noted the importance of strengthening ties between the two countries in migration, justice, internal affairs, education, social affairs and other areas.
