Azerbaijan's Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov, met with Director General of the National Bureau for Urban Resilience, Stability and Risk Management of Madagascar's Ministry of Interior, Divisional General Olivier Andriakaja Elack, who is visiting Baku for COP29, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan's Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Kamaladdin Heydarov highly appreciated the participation of representatives from Madagascar's National Bureau for Urban Resilience, Stability and Risk Management in the global COP29 event, successfully conducted under the leadership of Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev.
The minister provided detailed information about the structure and activities of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations, emphasizing the existing potential for establishing and developing ties between the relevant agencies of the two countries in the field of emergency response.
Thanking for the warm reception, General Olivier Andriakaja Elack expressed satisfaction with participation in COP29, noting the high level of organization by the Azerbaijani side. Then he provided detailed information about the activities of his agency and emphasized the importance of forming relations between the two structures in preventing and eliminating consequences of emergency situations.
The meeting included a broad exchange of views on matters of mutual interest.
