Aygun Attar says opening of Zangazur corridor is important

"Owing to the statements of the President of Azerbaijan, we listened to the head of state, who analyzed the real side of the 44-day war. Azerbaijan has resolved the Karabakh issue," Aygun Attar, a member of the Foreign Policy and Security Committee of the Turkish Presidential Administration and chairman of the Turkish-Azerbaijani Friendship, Cooperation and Solidarity Foundation, said at a conference “Geopolitical situation in the South Caucasus in the 100th anniversary of the Treaty of Kars.”

"The Azerbaijani leader was not satisfied with this and said that he supported Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's 3 + 3 platform project. At the same time, he expressed readiness to take diplomatic steps to ensure peace and stability in the South Caucasus," Attar added.

She recalled that the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey said that they signed the "Shusha Declaration" with the opportunities provided by the Treaty of Kars: "Because according to the document signed on December 13, 1921, Armenia stated that it had renounced its land claims against its neighbours."

"Mustafa Kemal Ataturk spoke about the importance of the land connection between Nakhchivan and Azerbaijan in 1921. From an economic and political point of view, the opening of the Zangazur corridor is an important issue. Azerbaijan has shown its unwavering position. The Treaty of Kars meets the modern international law to which the politicians of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, and Georgia refer," Aygun Attar stressed.
