Blaming Islam for everything is unfair, Austrian Muslims Initiative Chairman Tarafa Baghajati said at an international scientific conference themed "Islamophobia in Focus: Unveiling Bias, Shattering Stigmas," held in Baku.
Report quotes Baghajati as saying blaming Islam and Muslims for some tragedies has become normal:
"Islamophobia is an issue that requires joint efforts. Joint action against conservative forces is essential. Otherwise, the types of Islamophobia are becoming more common and normalized day by day."
According to him, there is a documentation center for Islamophobia in Austria:
"The center's goal is to prevent the negative image of Islamophobia from being formed. In Austria, we are against the misuse of Islam for political purposes. We have no other choice. The world has changed and the challenges are new. We must face and fight these challenges."
