Armenians living in Khankandi urged to accept Azerbaijani citizenship

Member of the Azerbaijani Parliament's delegation to the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly Tahir Mirkishili commented on the concerns of acting Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Hakob Arshakyan about the fate of Armenians living in Karabakh.

Mirkishili said he was probably referring to Khankandi, adding that the economic and social situation there was a matter of concern for the Azerbaijani side, and the best way was for Armenians to receive Azerbaijani citizenship as soon as possible for them to be able to enjoy social and economic resources.

Noting the significance of peace and development on the agenda of Azerbaijan and Armenia, the MP stressed the importance of parliaments' constant support to the government and the people in these matters.
