Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Report informs, citing the Armenian PM’s press service.
During the phone call, Pashinyan informed Erdogan about the outcomes of his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and US President Donald Trump in Washington on August 8.
These included the initialing of the Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, the joint appeal to the OSCE regarding the dissolution of the Minsk Group mechanisms, the opening of regional communications within the framework of the principles of territorial integrity, sovereignty, and jurisdiction of the countries, as well as the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity initiative, the press service stated.
Pashinyan highlighted that the establishment of peace between Baku and Yerevan allows for defining a new level of regional cooperation.
Additionally, the interlocutors discussed issues on the bilateral agenda of Armenia-Türkiye relations, particularly the progress in implementing previously reached agreements:
"The Prime Minister noted that now there are more favorable conditions than ever for the implementation of these agreements. The interlocutors agreed to continue active political dialogue."
