Armenian PM calls conversation with Azerbaijan's President at BRICS very important

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan described his meeting with Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev at the BRICS summit in Kazan as very important, Report informs via Armenian media.

"I consider participation in the BRICS summit very important and effective. I also want to express satisfaction with meeting Azerbaijan's president personally and then in an expanded format. I must note that we haven't had such a long conversation between us for a long time, or perhaps ever. It was a very important conversation," Pashinyan said during Wednesday's "government hour."

According to him, during the meetings, "the idea was expressed, and I believe that Armenia and Azerbaijan need not only a peace agreement or other agreements for peaceful coexistence, but need to conclude a strategic deal about the formulas within which we, as independent countries, are preparing to live side by side in the coming centuries."
