Appeal sent to int'l organizations regarding Armenians' ecological terror in Lachin

Environmental non-governmental organizations operating in Azerbaijan appealed to international organizations due to the ecological terror committed by Armenians illegally residing in Azerbaijan's Lachin and adjacent areas, Report informs.

The statement expresses concern about the forest fires of recent days committed by Armenians illegally residing in Azerbaijan.

"According to the relevant paragraphs of the tripartite statement dated November 10, 2020, the Lachin district and adjacent territories should be transferred to Azerbaijan. This process is at the final stage; by the end of August 2022, persons illegally settled in the area should be evicted from the region.

These people, who illegally lived in the Lachin district and adjacent villages for about 30 years, burn centuries-old forests when leaving the territory and commit ecological terror. And the worst thing is that they not only barbarously destroy the earth's surface, but also pollute the bowels of the earth with mines.

These smeary deeds committed today in the Azerbaijani lands are a crime not only against the Azerbaijani people, but also against humanity," reads the appeal.
