Many Russian regions are interested in building cooperation with Azerbaijan, Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Bocharnikov told a press conference, as quoted by Report.
He said this April marks the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Russia.
"The relations between the independent countries have been developing for already 30 years, and they have withstood the test of time. The parties have strengthened cooperation primarily in the political, trade and economic and interregional sphere."
The ambassador noted that due to the pandemic, contacts in the field of culture were interrupted between the countries, and now the task is to restore these relations, which were previously very developed.
The diplomat also noted the importance of strengthening relations in education and youth cooperation.
