Ambassador: New era of Azerbaijan-Bangladesh cooperation starts

A new era of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Bangladesh has started based on consultations of the ministries of foreign Affairs, the new non-resident ambassador of Bangladesh to Azerbaijan, Amanul Haq told Report.

The ambassador will visit Azerbaijan in the coming days to submit his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.

Last month, the ambassador visited Baku to participate in the first meeting of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Bangladesh. He added that the entire range of bilateral relations was discussed at the meeting.

"Concrete directions of cooperation have been established, with particular emphasis on political, economic, commercial, humanitarian, and other areas. We anticipate positive outcomes from these highly successful consultations. A new era of collaboration between Azerbaijan and Bangladesh has commenced based on the deliberations of our Ministries of Foreign Affairs,” Hag noted.

Bangladesh’s ambassador to Azerbaijan will work from Türkiye.

Until 2021, the Bangladeshi embassy in Azerbaijan was situated in Türkiye, but subsequently, its operations were shifted to the embassy in Iran.
