Ambassador: Israel wants to help restore Azerbaijan's liberated territories

"A year later, I returned to the area of Ganja, which Armenia shelled during the Patriotic War, and saw hope and a vision for the future in the destroyed area. I noticed that people go on with their lives without fear," said Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan George Deek.

Report quotes him as saying the new residential buildings were built by the state: Israel has always supported the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and wants to help rebuild the lands after their liberation.

"Israel wants to continue cooperation with Azerbaijan. During the visit, we will also hit orphanages, we have gifts for them. We have also brought the heating system they need. It is a symbolic gesture on our part. We are here to show our friendship and solidarity. If we were helping the victims then, now we are helping families with hope for the future. As we mark the first anniversary of the 44-day war, we are working to build a better peaceful future," George Deek said.
