National leader Heydar Aliyev and King Hassan II laid the foundation for the strong bonds of brotherhood between Morocco and Azerbaijan, the Ambassador of Morocco to Azerbaijan Adil Embarch said at an event on the occasion of the state holiday of this country - the anniversary of the ascension to the throne of King Mohammed VI of Morocco,
"Taking this opportunity, I want to pay special tribute to the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev. He visited Morocco in 1994. Together with the late His Majesty King Hassan II, both leaders laid the foundation of strong bonds of brotherhood based on concepts equally dear to their hearts - mutual support for national sovereignty and territorial integrity," Adil Embarch said.
The ambassador added that today these relations are continued by King Mohammed VI of Morocco and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
