Ali Asadov meets with participants of Global Summit of Religious Leaders in Baku

On November 5, Azerbaijan's Prime Minister Ali Asadov held several meetings with participants of the Global Summit of Religious Leaders taking place in Baku under the slogan "World Religions for a Green Planet" as part of COP29, Report informs referring to the Cabinet of Ministers.

Asadov met with delegations of religious leaders from member countries and observers of the Organization of Turkic States, the Russian Federation and Egypt, as well as with the UN Alliance of Civilizations High Representative Miguel Angel Moratinos and the Prefect of the Vatican's Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue for Eastern Churches, Cardinal Claudio Gugerotti.

The meeting participants emphasized the importance of developing interfaith dialogue, national-cultural values, and traditions of multiculturalism to promote the green agenda, as well as more effective use of the potential of religions and beliefs in combating climate change.

Furthermore, the significance of cooperation between religious leaders was noted, and hope was expressed for their active support in striving for a greener future for the entire world.
