When talking about Islam and migration, these issues are presented as a clear danger to French society, according to Chakib Benhafri, the head of scientific research at Algeria 2 University, Report informs.
Speaking at an international scientific conference themed "Imperial Structure: Colonial Ideologies and Realities” held in Baku, he noted that when historians and international lawyers talk about the history of Algeria, they have always touched upon the war conducted in this country:
"I have never heard another headline. There was a period when the French media created a certain image and presented the ideas they wanted to convey through that image. Those depictions did not include positive elements about Africa. Even today, they portray it as if Africa could never change and develop without France."
The researcher emphasized that France allocates large sums of money to promote its policy:
"As the fourth or fifth generation of former colonies, we were born and raised in France, and we can clearly see the policy of this country. France has always spent large amounts of money to promote its policy, taking steps directed at Africa under the name of civilization mission. This view has not changed yet."
