AIDA, IBSA sign memorandum on cooperation

A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA) and the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA), Report informs, citing the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan.

Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev met with Ilgar Rahimov, President of the International Blind Sports Federation.

During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for cooperation between AIDA and IBSA, the implementation of joint initiatives within international development cooperation, support for sports development programs for blind and visually impaired people, and the expansion of international partnership in this area.

Rafiyev noted that AIDA, as Azerbaijan's official body operating in the field of international development cooperation, implements diverse projects that contribute to capacity-building, human capital development, and the exchange of knowledge and experience in partner countries.

He also stressed that initiatives aimed at expanding opportunities for blind and visually impaired people in sports are in line with AIDA's international development cooperation priorities.
