52nd plenary session of IPA CIS underway in St. Petersburg

The 52nd plenary session of the IPA CIS is being held in the Tauride Palace in St. Petersburg. Report's Russian bureau informs that the central issue of the meeting is the legislative regulation of migration processes during a pandemic and the role of CIS parliaments in this process.

Heads of parliaments of the IPA CIS member states and heads of relevant European organizations, including representatives of the International Organization for Migration, the European Bureau of the World Health Organization, the European Bureau of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the European Regional Office International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies will speak at the meetings.

The issue of a model Migration Code for the CIS member states, developed by the Assembly, will be raised during the meeting.
