28 years pass since establishment of Azerbaijan-Georgia diplomatic relations

Today marks 28 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia.

The Georgian bureau of Report says that the two countries' strategic ties started on November 18, 1992.

Georgian embassies were opened in Baku in February 1995 and Azerbaijani embassies in Tbilisi in March 1996.

Faig Guliyev was appointed Azerbaijani Ambassador to Georgia on August 17 this year. He presented his credentials to the President of Georgia on October 2.

The Georgian ambassador to Azerbaijan is Zurab Pataradze. He has been holding this position since August 2018.

The Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Batumi, Georgia, has been operating since 2010. The Consul General of Azerbaijan in this city is Parviz Ismayilzade.

The Consulate General of Georgia in Ganja, Azerbaijan, was opened in 2013. The Consul General of Georgia in this town is Nikoloz Iashvili.

The number of documents signed between the sides is more than 100.
