Zire FC will get UEFA license for 2017-2018 season

Baku. 30 March. REPORT.AZ/ "Zire" football club will able to get UEFA license in 2017/2018 season. 

Report informs, Azerbaijan Football Federations Association (AFFA) has issued a statement.

Notably, AFFA has appealed to the European football organization to approach "Zire" club established in July 18, 2014 as an exception for failing to meet 3-year membership rule reflected in UEFA Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations.

On March 29, 2017, UEFA responded positively to the request.

Notably, the UEFA’s decision does not mean "Zire" will get a license automatically.

The club must fulfill the requirements of UEFA licensing rules for next season and submit all documents to AFFA Licensing group.

Decisions on clubs that have applied for a license in order to participate in 2017/2018 season in UEFA club competitions and the Premier League will be made byAFFA Licensing Commission on May 2017.
