Zira's head coach resigns

Baku. 29 August. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijan Premier League has faced the first head coach resignation in the new season.

Report informs, Aykhan Abbasov has resigned from the post of head coach of Zira. He asked the club's management to accept his resignation basing on the recorded results. Abbasov said the club needs a new breath. Taking these into account, the management accepted his resignation.

Abbasov was thanked for his merits in Zira’s development and wished successes in his future career.

Aykhan Abbasov has been the head coach of Zira since December 27, 2026. Under his leadership, the ‘eagles’ ranked 4th in the past two seasons. In the current championship, the club held two matches and got 1 point.
