Vice President of Azerbaijan Boxing Federation elected member of AIBA Bureau

Baku. 4 January. REPORT.AZ/ Vice President of the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation Suleyman Mikayilov has been elected a member of the International Boxing Association (AIBA).

Report informs referring to the official website of Federation that the bureau, which is considered to be the highest institution in the organization, will be represented by seven people. They are AIBA President Gafur Rahimov, two vice presidents and four members of the Executive Committee. The "seven" approved by members of the Executive Committee at the presentation of the AIBA Executive Director will carry out this task for four years.

The Bureau has the authority to decide on the most important issues in the world boxing - to determine the future of the sport, change laws, control financial matters, discuss management, submit it to the agenda of the Executive Committee.

Notably, Suleyman Mikayilov gained this right for the second time. He held the same position in the Bureau consisting of 5 people in 2013. The ABF official is also a member of the AIBA Executive Committee.
