Tottenham scores in first minute for only second time in European competitions

London's Tottenham Hotspur scored in the first minute of their home match in the UEFA Europa League semi-final against Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt (final score: 3–1).

Report informs citing Opta that this goal marked only the second time in the club's history that Spurs scored in the first minute of a major European competition match.

The first such instance occurred 53 years ago — in December 1971, when Tottenham scored in the opening minute of a UEFA Cup match against Rapid Bucharest of Romania.
