"According to the draw, the match was to be held in Baku. However, different countries have different rules. With this in mind, additional negotiations are underway."
AFFA vice-president Elkhan Mammadov said exclusively for Report, commenting on the situation around the Qarabag – Molde match within the framework of the III qualifying round of the Champions League. "AFFA, the leadership, and representatives negotiate with UEFA, the Norwegian Football Federation, and Molde's officials several times a day. The venue has not yet been chosen, as Norway has a different quarantine regime. I hope an appropriate decision will be made shortly."
Notably, Molde FC appealed to UEFA with a request to hold a match with Qarabag on neutral territory, justifying this by the fact that upon returning from Azerbaijan to Norway, they will have a ten-day quarantine.
