Baku. 11 January. REPORT.AZ/ The reason of transfer of Azerbaijan national player Pavel Pashayev to “Neftchi” has been revealed.
Report informs referring to the Ukrainian website sports.dp.ua, club “Stal”, where the 29-year-old defender plays, may face sanctions.
The player was presented by the club as Ukrainian legionary when registering in Ukraine Professional League, whereas he was playing for Azerbaijani national team.
Club’s general director Vardan Israelyan didn’t rule out sanction by Ukraine Football Federation for violation of regulation in his interview to local media.
Notably, Ukrainian press informs that Pavel Pashayev will sign 1.5-year contract with “Neftchi”.
