Lazio sporting director Igli Tare and his two dogs were attacked by a pit bull on Wednesday whilst he was walking in Olgiata, killing one and injuring the other, according to a report from the Italian newspaper La Repubblica earlier today.
The report details how the Albanian executive was walking with his two pet dogs when a pit bull allegedly climbed over a villa fence and attacked him.
Tare’s two dogs were kept regularly on a leash, and unfortunately, his poodle was killed in the attack, with the other dog sustaining injuries and Tare himself.
Tare was seriously upset by the incident and loss of his pet and has announced that he will push for civil and criminal action in response to the attack.
His son Etienne paid respect to his fallen pet, posting two short videos on his Instagram story with the caption:
Rest in peace, my little one. I miss you so much. I will always keep you in my heart.
