The Azerbaijani national minifootball team is aiming for victory in their second match of the European Championship against Italy, which will take place on May 29 in Slovakia, Mirmehdi Rzayev, a player at the national team, told Report.
He said they watched Italy's match with France yesterday, which ended in a draw. "This result is an advantage for us. We must win today's match against Italy," Rzayev noted.
He also commented on the first match, in which Azerbaijan beat Austria 1-0.
"We knew the game would be tough. It was our first match, and the pitch played a role. But we managed to win, even though we didn't expect Austria to put up such a fight. They had players who had played in professional football. We're aiming for victory today as well; we want to finish the group as leaders," Rzayev said.
The Italy-Azerbaijan match will take place today at the Tipos Arena in Bratislava, with the game starting at 17:45 (GMT+4).
