Israel to open airspace for flights to Qatar

Israel will open airspace for international flights due to the World Cup in Qatar.

The joint decision was made by the Israeli Defense Forces, Air Force Command, Civil Aviation and Airport Departments, Report says, citing NEWSru.

According to the decision, Israel will open airspace for flights to Qatar during the competition.

According to the information, this decision will be valid until November-December 2022.

Earlier, the Israeli government and the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) agreed that visas would not be required for Israeli fans to travel to Qatar during the World Cup.

There are no diplomatic relations between Qatar and Israel.

The Israeli economic magazine Globs recently reported that the Qatari government had refused to open the country's airspace for a scheduled flight from Doha to Tel Aviv. The reason for this was a political event. Qatar has blamed Israel for the death of Shirin Abu Akleni, an employee of Al Jazeera. He died during a battle between the Israeli militants and Palestinians in Palestine.
