Baku. 13 November. REPORT.AZ/ Former head coach of "Keshla" Yuri Maksimov has recently been to Azerbaijan, the 50-year-old specialist told Report.
He said that together with his businessmen friends he watched the "Keshla" - "Qarabag" match on October 31 postponed from the VII tour of the Premier League.
But Maksimov did not want to talk about the match that ended in 1: 1 draw: “My turn in this team is over. I can only say good things about players. It's always great to come to Baku. My friends greeted me well."
The Ukrainian expert noted that his visit to Baku was not related to football and that he was accompanied by his colleagues engaged in business. He denied reports that he had received an offer from Sumgayit club, but stressed that he was ready to accept the offer of any club from Azerbaijan.
Responding to the question of whether he met with Keshla president Zaur Akhundov, the Ukrainian coach said, 'I don't want to talk about it.'
Notably, Yuri Maksimov became the winner of the Azerbaijan Cup with "Keshla" in December 2017. He resigned on June 16 just a few days after the defeat to Balzan F.C. 1: 4 in Malta, in the first qualifying round of the Europa League.
