Qarabag player Olavio Juninho has decided against moving to Sevilla after consulting with Flamengo head coach Felipe Luis, Report informs via Uol.com.
The Brazilian Serie A club, Flamengo, has made a new offer to the Azerbaijani champions for the 28-year-old striker.
Flamengo is willing to pay €5 million (4+1) for Juninho, and the proposed salary is three times higher than what Sevilla has offered. The club aims to sign a three-year contract with the Brazilian player and hopes to add him to its squad in the pre-season.
Olavio Juninho has been playing for Qarabag since 2023 and has won both the Azerbaijani championship and the cup with the team.
Flamengo's coach, Felipe Luis, has had an illustrious career, having played for renowned teams like Atletico Madrid and Chelsea. He won the Copa America with Brazil in 2019, the Europa League twice with Atletico Madrid, the Spanish La Liga once, and the English Premier League with Chelsea.
