The Club subsequently confirmed on Monday that the 24-year-old had injured his left ankle and would seek specialist consultation to confirm the full extent of the injury.

And addressing the media at Tuesday’s pre-match press conference ahead of our return to Premier League action at home to Leicester on Wednesday, the City boss delivered the latest update on Haaland’s injury and projected recovery time.

“The doctors told me between five and seven weeks. So hopefully for the end of season and FIFA Club World Cup he will be ready,” Pep said.
