Erdoğan to watch Euro 2020 matches in Baku

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan may visit Baku to watch the Euro 2020 final matches.

Report informs that the Turkish president spoke in a joint broadcast by ATV and A Haber TV channels. Erdogan said he had spoken to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in this regard: “It’s strange - we start the championship with Italy match, which will play at home. We will play two other matches in Baku. I can't go to Rome to play games there. However, the other two matches will be held in Baku. I also spoke with my brother Ilham Aliyev. He is waiting. I hope that we can go and watch two matches and qualify for the next stage.”

Wales and Switzerland will face at the Baku Olympic Stadium on June 13. On June 17, Turkey will meet Wales and on June 21, Switzerland will encounter Turkey in Baku. Moreover, one of the quarterfinal matches will also be held in Baku.

Italy and Turkey will play against each other at the Olimpiko Stadium in Rome in the opening match of Euro 2020.
