Cycling competitions to resume first in Azerbaijan

Following the appropriate permission by the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers, Azerbaijan Cycling Federation (AzVIF) will first resume competitions.

The tournament will kick off next week on June 6 or 7, Press Secretary for the Federation Parviz Musayev told Report.

Musayev highlighted the possibility of organizing the race on the Republican cycle track.

According to the Federation official, the name of the competition has not been specified yet. “It can be called Baku or Federation Cup,” he added.

“From July 1, international competitions will resume. We will hold as many tournaments as possible in the coming months to prepare for the international tournaments,” Musayev said.

A few days ago, the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers allowed outdoor sports events from May 31.
