A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona sealed a last-minute move to newly-promoted Elche on deadline day, Report informs via Get Spanish Football News.
The player in question? Héctor Fort.
Youngster Fort had of course seen his name emerge as a prominent one in the transfer chatter across Spain over recent weeks.
This came after word was forthcoming that the 19-year-old had fallen out of favor with Barcelona boss Hansi Flick.
Held in high regard across the La Liga landscape, Fort, in turn, was linked with potential moves to a whole host of clubs.
And as alluded to above, as the Spanish transfer deadline approached late on Monday night, one such suitor pushed a deal for the full-back over the line.
As per a statement across Barcelona"s official website and social media platforms:
‘FC Barcelona and Elche Club de Fútbol have reached an agreement for the loan of the player Héctor Fort until June 30, 2026."
