Baku. 27 March. REPORT.AZ/ Player of the national team of Azerbaijan and "Garabag" FC Gara Garayev has received an offer from clubs playing in Europe's leading championships. Report informs AFFA General Coordinator on Selection Affairs Riad Rafiyev said.
According to him, 25-year-old midfielder has attracted the attention of foreign scouts after 2018 World Cup qualifying group matches.
R. Rafiyev noted that, situation with his transfer will become clear after the end of the current season: It would not be right to name when the season has not ended and players of Garayev’s contract with "Qarabag" continues. However, some European countries are interested in Garayev. It would be either Germany or Spain or Portugal. It is too early to say anything. They contacted with AFFA and interested only in Garayev. I cannot say anything about player's transfer yet”.
Notably, Azerbaijani national team head coach Robert Prosinecki, yesterday during the press conference after the 2018 World Cup qualifying group match with Germany said he would like to see Gara Garayev playing in difficult European championships.
