Atletico footballer fined for behavior in match with Qarabag FC

Baku. 23 October. REPORT.AZ/ The behavior of Spanish FC Atletico’s footballer Yannick Carrasco, in the 3rd round of Champions League group stage with Qarabag in Baku, cost him very dearly.

Report informs referring to AS publication, the head coach Diego Simeone fined the Belgian midfielder who slowly left the field during substitution in the 72nd minute.

Argentinian specialist concluded that 24-yeal-old player acted negligently at the moment when it was important to score a goal. For this reason, Carrasco missed the IX round match with Celta in the La Liga of Spain. According to the club's official statement, the footballer did not play due to his knee injury. Simeone explained the behavior of midfielder was caused by his dissatisfaction with result.

The Atletico club which ended the game with Qarabag goalless in a draw, defeated Celta 1:0.
