Appeal sent to UEFA to prevent provocations against Qarabag FC

"We always support the organization of international matches for the national team and Qarabag," AFFA Executive Vice President Elkhan Mammadov said at a press conference following the results of the regular conference of the structure and the meeting of the executive committee.

He noted that an appeal was sent to UEFA in connection with the Qarabag-Marseille match in the playoffs of the UEFA Conference League: "A video conference will be held over the weekend in connection with security. I sent a letter in connection with security to the president and the secretary-general of the French Football Federation. Attempts to provoke us are always made. The UEFA special representative was present at the match between Qarabag and Basel. There will also be a special representative at the match with Marseille. We sent a letter to the ambassador in France. He will raise the issue at the state level."

Mammadov stressed that there is no place for provocations in football: "Our representatives never commit provocations against anyone. In such cases, UEFA expresses a negative opinion, and I think they will prevent the provocations."
