Eight Anderlecht fans have been arrested for rioting during the Europa League game against Real Sociedad on October 3, Report informs via Tribuna.
Several unlawful incidents in the guest stand were reported during the match.
According to the Basque country's security department, one fan was arrested for assaulting authorities, another for disorderly behavior, and one more for causing damage and resisting security agents.
Also, during the clash, Anderlecht ultras threw objects at the lower stands where local fans were seated – even pieces of seats were thrown.
After the game, Anderlecht apologized through the club's spokesperson at the press center and confirmed the arrest of eight people involved in the incident.
