Baku. 1 February. REPORT.AZ/ The starting price of the Venezuelan national crypto-currency petro is $ 60. This equals to a barrel of Venezuela oil.
Report informs citing the Russian media, at the initial stage, 38.4 mln petros will be auctioned. In general, the government plans to issue 100 million petros. Sale of crypto-currency will be held on February 20-March 19.
Notably, Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro said in December that the country would issue crypto-currency and overcome financial blockade. President has allocated 5 bln barrels of oil reserves as guarantee.
Notably, US dollar rate in Venezuela's cash foreign currency market was 250,000 bolivars. This is 18.5% more compared to beginning of the year.
