Azerbaijan to support vulnerable groups of population

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the Central Bank (CBA) and the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan signed a memorandum of cooperation to assist vulnerable groups in organizing self-employment.

Countries' parties signed the memorandum to support self-employment of vulnerable groups of the population, to stimulate the development of micro, small and medium enterprises in the country.

According to the memorandum, to support the self-employment of the unemployed who need social protection, including disabled persons, low-income families, and internally displaced persons, there are plans to transfer materials, equipment and other property to these persons free of charge for a period of two years.

Banks operating in the territory of the country will voluntarily participate in the program and freely finance activities under the memorandum.
