SOFAZ’s incomes from management since it was established have reached $6.2 billion, SOFAZ Executive Director Shahmar Movsumov told journalists within a conference on ‘Impact investing: Opportunities and Challenges for Institutional Investors’.
According to him, SOFAZ assets near $42.5 billion.
"SOFAZ carries out very conservative investment policy. However, the Fund has been applying new types of assets since 2012, increasing shares, making investments in real estate and gold. We’ll continue to work on increase of risky assets in the future. The matter is about reduction of securities with stable income and increase of shares in the portfolio. We always think about it and relevant proposals will be made in this direction," Movsumov said.
He also spoke about the event held today and noted that positive impact of investments on development will be discussed at the conference.
