Samir Sharifov: Azerbaijan's state budget revenues exceed forecast by 6.3%

"The results of the first quarter can be assessed as a continuation of the achievements of Azerbaijan last year," Azerbaijani Finance Minister Samir Sharifov said at a meeting chaired by President Ilham Aliyev on the results of the first quarter of 2022, Report informs.

"The socio-economic results of last year showed that after the great victory in the Patriotic War, Azerbaijan quickly mobilized its forces and achieved remarkable progress in the economy. Thus, last year's GDP growth was higher than the forecasts, i.e., 2.2% more - 5.6% instead of 3.4%. This year, we see the continuation of this trend. These positive trends are also reflected in the state budget in the first quarter of this year. State budget revenues exceeded the forecast by 6.3% or 418 million manats, and amounted to 7.1 billion manats," he noted.
