Finance minister, co-chairman of the Azerbaijan-France Intergovernmental Economic Commission Samir Sharifov has met with a delegation led by CEO of the Movement of the Enterprises of France (MEDEF International) Philippe Gautier, Report informs referring to the ministry.
Sharifov noted that French companies are successfully operating in the country, using the economic potential of Azerbaijan and the favorable business environment created for entrepreneurs. According to the minister, by operating in the Alat free economic zone, French entrepreneurs can increase sales of products and services to the countries of the region.
Gautier said that the purpose of the visit of the MEDEF International delegation to Azerbaijan, in which about 7,100 French companies are represented, is to get acquainted with the current priorities identified by the Azerbaijani government for diversifying the economy in the post-pandemic period, as well as developing and restoring the liberated territories.
The meeting was also attended by French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Zacharie Gross.
