PM: Pakistan ready to increase trade with Turkiye to $5B

Pakistan is ready to bring trade with Turkiye to $5 billion, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said at a working lunch organized by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkiye (TOBB) as part of the Turkiye-Pakistan business forum in Ankara, Report informs referring to Anadolu Agency.

He said that the trade turnover of $1.1 billion doesn’t reflect the economic potential of the two countries. There are opportunities to bring this figure up to $5 billion within three years.

Sharif invited Turkish entrepreneurs to actively invest in Pakistan, promising to create the necessary conditions for working in the country.

He also thanked the president of Turkiye and the Turkish people for their help after the devastating earthquake in Pakistan. At the initiative of Turkiye, hospitals, schools were built in Pakistan, and financial assistance was provided.
