Over $9B allocated to Azerbaijan's liberated territories to date

Over 16 billion manats ($9.4 billion) have been allocated to the liberated territories of Azerbaijan within the framework of the state program, said Zamin Badirkhanov, the head of the Territorial Restoration and Development Department of Azerbaijan’s Economy Ministry, Report informs.

“Substantial portion of this amount has been allocated for developing roads and social infrastructure. Azerbaijan is actively encouraging and supporting private sector participation in the restoration efforts. To further stimulate private sector involvement, the government has earmarked over 1 billion manats (approximately $588 million) in support funds. A significant portion of this allocation has already been invested. In those territories, more than 2,700 people will be employed in 2 industrial parks, and over 300 million manats (over $176 million) will be invested for this purpose,” Badirkhanov said.
