The social expenditures of Azerbaijan’s state budget projected for next year are 6.31 billion manats ($3.71 billion) or 1.6 times more compared to the same indicator in 2021, Finance Minister Samir Sharifov said this at today's plenary session of the Parliament, Report informs.
According to Sharifov, in line with the president's relevant instructions, the state budget has allocated appropriate funds for increasing salaries, pensions, social benefits, and allowances, which form the basis of social expenditures for the next year: "About 4.81 billion manats ($2.83 billion) will be allocated from the state budget next year for strengthening social protection and social security expenses of socially vulnerable groups of the population. This is 420 million manats ($247.06 million) or 9.6% more compared to the current year."
