New strategic plan for stock exchanges of CIS countries adopted

A new strategic plan for the stock exchanges of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member countries was adopted, Report informs, citing Baku Stock Exchange (BSE).

According to the information, Farid Akhundov, Chairman of the BSE Supervisory Board, Ruslan Khalilov, Chairman of the Management Board, and the delegation paid a business trip to Tashkent, Uzbekistan. During the visit, the delegation met with representatives of the Tashkent Stock Exchange. At the meeting, an overview of the various trading systems used by regional exchanges, the experience of transitioning to the new trading platform of the BSE, and opportunities for closer cooperation between the two sides were discussed.

Within the framework of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation participated in the meeting of the International CIS Stock Exchange Association. The meeting discussed the issues of accountability and organization of the member exchanges of the association. Moreover, changes were made to the structure of the Audit Committee, and member exchanges adopted a new strategic plan.
