Net foreign assets of Azerbaijani banks up 7%

As of June 1 this year, the net foreign assets of Azerbaijani banks amounted to 22,451,600,000 manats (over $13 billion), down 4.8% m-o-m.

Report informs referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan that the figure was 10.3% lower than in the beginning of the year and 7% more than on June 1, 2022.

At the end of May this year, net domestic assets of banks amounted to 18,920,200,000 manats (over $11 billion), rising 7.6% in monthly comparison, 6.3% from the beginning of the year and 18.1% y-o-y.

There are 24 banks operating in Azerbaijan.
