Over 70% of tax revenues in Azerbaijan accounted for non-oil sector

Baku. 15 December. REPORT.AZ/ more than 70% of tax collection provided by non-oil sector in Azerbaijan.

This means an annual increase in the share of non-oil sector. Report informs Natig Amirov deputy tax minister said that at today's meeting with media.

N. Amirov said that by the end of 2015, despite tactical changes in the world economy, the non-oil sector is growing thanks to the diversification of the economy of Azerbaijan.

During 11 months of 2015, Ministry of Taxes implemented the forecast fully, and revenues amounted to 6.5 bln USD.

The deputy minister added that the country has increased the number of taxpayers, a class of entrepreneurs has formed, who became a leading part of the economy.The strategy of economic development of the country aimed at reducing the negative impact of the crisis in the face of global economic change, ensuring the stability of the socio-economic development, sustainable development of an entrepreneurial class.

Head of Tax Policy and Strategic Research Natig Shirinov noted that most of the amendments to the Tax Code and a number of laws aimed at strengthening the rights of taxpayers, reduction of tax burden, strengthening the fight against tax evasion and increasing revenue.
