"The volume of foreign direct investment in the country's economy over the past decade reaches $57 billion," Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov said, speaking at the Azerbaijan Investment and Culture Summit, Report informs.
According to him, the Azerbaijani government is trying to ensure a business environment and investment attractiveness for businessmen: "More than 85% of GDP in the country forms in the private sector. Azerbaijan is a country that widely uses incentives to promote economic activity and create a favorable business environment.
"At present, the country's strategic development strategy for 2022-2026 is being prepared under the 'Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development' approved by the President of Azerbaijan. At the same time, we are considering the application of tax benefits to the liberated territories in the future," he said.
