Azerbaijan is a unique investment destination, Murad Sadikhov, head of Masdar Azerbaijan office, said at a forum on the country's investment prospects, organized as part of the annual meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB) in Baku, Report informs.
"For many decades, Azerbaijan has demonstrated a high level of stability. Naturally, the manat remains stable. The government provides very transparent and understandable conditions for all investors, guaranteeing not only the protection of investments but also the ability to repatriate dividends and profits. All this makes Azerbaijan a unique and, I would say, an excellent investment destination. This is perfectly clear: several years ago, the UAE government included Azerbaijan in its list of 50 key investment destinations for the period up to 2050. Thus, we are talking about a combination of specific institutional and regulatory reforms. Of course, there are many factors at play here, but everything without exception begins with commitment from the government. This is exactly what we are seeing here in Azerbaijan," Sadikhov emphasized.
