Japarov: Türkiye wrote off Kyrgyzstan's external debt in exchange for "green" economy projects

Türkiye has written off Kyrgyzstan's debt of $62.3 million, Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Japarov following negotiations with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Bishkek, Report informs referring to Kyrgyz media.

He noted that the Turkish side wrote off Kyrgyzstan's external debt, which had accumulated by the end of this year, in exchange for "green" economy projects.

Previously, Germany also wrote off Kyrgyzstan's debt of $14 million in exchange for the implementation of "green" initiatives.
